In the United States, the band has performed across the nation including New York, Miami, Las Vegas and Los Angeles. Appearances include the Columbian Independence Festival in New York with a crowd of 3/4 of a million, RMM's 10th Anniversary concert in New York (nationally televised), the Festival Calle Broadway in Miami, the L.A. Fiesta Broadway and the annual Hollywood Salsa and Latin Jazz Festival at the Hollywood Bowl.
The orchestra has had occasion to perform with widely recognized figures in Salsa music such as Celia Cruz, Tito Puente, Luis Enrique, Eddie Santiago, Marc Anthony and many more. In fact, Celia Cruz, the "Queen" of Salsa, was so impressed that she has established this orchestra as hers when touring the West Coast.
The lead singer recorded his first album in 1984 and his 1996 album included a song that climbed to #4 on the national Billboard charts.
Accompanied by a very talented group of musicians, the band has performed in such events and places as Fiesta Broadway, Telemundo''s Fiesta Del Sol, Festival Calle Ocho in Miami, Colombian Independence Festival at the Flushing Meadows Park in New-York. Yari and his orquestra has played in the most important nightclubs in New-York, Chicago, Mexico DF, Anchorage Alaska, Arizona, San Francisco, San Diego, Las Vegas, Palm Springs and of course Los Angeles at the House of Blues, The Conga Room, The New Century Club, The Rumba Room, The Mayan, Universal Studios, Six Flags Magic Mountain, Disneyland, The Hollywood Bowl for the Playboy Jazz Festival, also the Latin Jazz Festival, The RMM 10th Anniversary Show At the Madison Square garden nationally televised, the Festival Latino Americano in Verona, Italy, the Jay Leno show with Linda Ronstad, The Vibe with Simbad, with Celia Cruz and the Ritmo Latino Music Awards For The Telemundo Network as a musical coordinator for two consecutive years.
The band has also enjoyed the successes of having performed with some of the most important "salsero's" in the world. Such as Willy Chirino, Group Niche, "El Rey Del Timbale" Tito Puente, India, Jerry Rivera, Marc Anthony, Jose Alberto " El Canario" and many others. " The Queen of Salsa" herself Celia Cruz had chosen Yari to be her official West Coast Orquestra.
Many producers has used the band's vocal abilities to record several jingles for different products for radio and TV in the Latin market such as Budweiser, Miller Lite, Miller Genuine Draft, Corona, Coors Lite, Coca-Cola, PepsiCola, Mexicana Airlines, American Airlines, Folders, Bustelo, Knudsen, Scope, California Lottery, Ingles sin Barreras and many more.
